Job summary

Platform Property Care is recruiting a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Leicester to join our Repairs & Maintenance team, maintaining homes to a high standard. The role focuses on carpentry but involves other trades in multi-trade repairs.

You will work in customers' homes, require a valid driving licence, DBS check, and strong communication. Benefits include pension, 25 days holiday, van and fuel card, mobile device, Medicash, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent
• Experience as Carpenter or multi-skilled Carpenter in building trades

• Good organisational skills and ability to keep jobs on track
• Full driving licence; DBS check required

Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Leicester and the surrounding area to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Multi Trade repairs and maintenance.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.

We want someone who has:

• NVQ L2 Carpentry
• Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter
• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
• Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling
• Experience of delivering multi-trade work
• Good organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on track
• The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role is for a team covering Leicester so you would need to live here.
