Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a vigilant Area Support Officer to provide flexible security cover across multiple client locations. The role includes day, night and weekend shifts, with coverage extending to library hours from 5pm to midnight.

You will monitor activity, conduct patrols, log incidents, and support operational continuity with adaptable deployment. Key requirements include UK work rights, BS7858 vetting, an active SIA licence, driving licence, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Must have the Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Valid SIA Licence is required.
• UK Driving licence and use of own vehicle is desirable.
• Confident computer literacy and ability to operate security systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security cover across multiple client sites, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.
• Conduct regular site patrols and inspections in accordance with assignment instructions and site-specific procedures.
• Monitor premises visually and via CCTV systems; respond to alarms, incidents, and security alerts.
• Record vehicle movements, visitor access, contractor attendance, and all site activities with logs and reports.
• Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, and operational documentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
