Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Relief Officer to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment across court and tribunal sites. The role covers a defined area around Harrogate with flexible shifts and 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, daytime only.

You will oversee access control, monitor activity and respond to incidents with professionalism and courtesy. Illustrative responsibilities include operating CCTV and screening equipment, conducting searches and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass an enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Flexibly support multiple sites within a defined area.
• Provide a professional, welcoming and customer-focused service to court users.
• Control access to buildings and follow security procedures at all times.
• Operate security equipment including CCTV, X-ray machines and handheld detectors.
• Conduct searches in line with site procedures.
• Patrol public and restricted areas and communicate with control points.
