Job summary

Contract Options is seeking a reliable School Caretaker to join a secondary school in Berkshire on a permanent, part-time, term-time basis. The role runs 3:00pm–6:00pm on Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri and 3:00pm–8:30pm on Thu, with responsibilities including site security, setting up rooms, and supporting lettings and weekend football.

Weekend work may be available at £17.57 per hour. The position offers 12 weeks' holiday per year and is ideal for someone practical and independent who can work outdoors.

Qualifications

• Reliable and practical
• Comfortable working independently and outdoors
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Basic DIY or maintenance experience desirable
• Previous caretaker, facilities, maintenance or handyman experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Secure and lock the school site
• Set up rooms for events and activities
• Support private lettings and weekend football
• Carry out basic maintenance and general site duties
• Report health and safety issues
• Help keep the site safe, clean and well presented
