Extension Recruitment is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a dual-site operation at North Shields and South Shields. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £45,000 - £55,000.

The engineer will support reliability and continuous improvement across two production sites, performing preventative and reactive maintenance, travelling between locations as needed, and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance activities across both sites.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
• Travel between the North Shields and South Shields sites as required.
