Job summary

A growing multi-site group is hiring an IT Manager to own day-to-day IT operations and lead a small in-house team (c.5). The role combines hands-on operational leadership, infrastructure, apps, support, MSPs with cybersecurity oversight, supplier and budget control, and support for digital transformation and M&A integration.

You'll work closely with the local MD and align to Group IT strategy and standards. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity with scope to influence IT delivery across sites.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a small IT team across multiple sites.
• Experience delivering IT across multiple sites/business units.
• Strong Microsoft 365/Azure, networking and cybersecurity skills.
• Experience managing MSPs/outsourced services.
• Proven budget ownership and supplier management.
• Experience in integration or transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior-level reporting.
• Working knowledge of GDPR and relevant compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of approximately 5; allocate workload and coach performance.
• Run IT service delivery across multiple sites: infrastructure, applications, service desk and MSPs.
• Ensure availability, security and performance of business-critical systems; manage SLAs/KPIs and escalations.
• Support transformation initiatives: cloud (Azure/M365), modern workplace, ERP and field service enhancements; identify automation/AI opportunities.
• Implement Group security controls; ensure GDPR and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance; maintain DR/BC plans.
• Support acquisition integration, stabilisation and standardisation; manage carve-outs where needed.
• Manage vendors, contracts, licensing and the IT operating budget; drive cost optimisation.
• Report clearly on performance, risk and improvement activity to senior stakeholders.
