Job summary

Persimmon Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the construction team across several sites. You’ll oversee builds, ensure adherence to the Persimmon Way, manage budgets and timelines, and coordinate with site management and other departments to maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience within the housebuilding construction industry.
• Understanding of NHBC/LABC/Premier standards.
• Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Current CSCS Card required.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• NVQ Level 7 in Construction Site Supervision is desirable, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage a number of construction projects ensuring they are completed on time and to specification, while complying with company and construction build and quality standards.
• Cost control the logistics and resources associated with developments, implementing cost-saving solutions.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and ensure site operations are monitored and compliant with standards.
• Manage the workforce including resourcing, performance management, coaching and training.
• Appoint and retain subcontractors, including sourcing and negotiation of contracts.
• Ensure subcontractors deliver performance against Group guidelines, controlling costs and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to achieve targets.
• Deliver the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy and ensure compliance across the team.
