Job summary

Persimmon Homes is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead multiple construction sites, oversee build programmes, budgets and quality, and collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to hit targets. The role requires a strong background in housebuilding, safety standards, and people management.

The position offers hybrid working, site-based responsibilities, and opportunities for career progression within a FTSE 100 listed housebuilder with a strong regional presence in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience within the housebuilding construction industry.
• Understanding of NHBC / LABC / Premier standards.
• Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Current CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.
• NVQ Level 7 in Construction Site Supervision desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Oversee week-to-week management of multiple sites.
• Manage build programme, budgets, timelines and quality standards.
• Cost control logistics and resources, implement cost-saving solutions.
• Conduct routine visual inspections and monitor site operations.
• Manage workforce, resourcing, performance coaching and training.
• Appoint and retain subcontractors, including sourcing and negotiating contracts.
• Ensure subcontractors meet group guidelines, budgets and targets.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to meet targets.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental policy is delivered.
