Job summary

Persimmon Homes is seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead a development site across a Somerset location. You will manage the full lifecycle from site setup to handover, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines and high quality standards.

The role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance and collaboration with internal teams. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in housebuilding, a current CSCS card, SMSTS, and a NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing full lifecycle of a construction development site.
• Understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• CSCS Card and SMSTS are essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a construction site to deliver on time, to spec and within budget.
• Ensure quality and safety inspections meet group standards.
• Coordinate with external parties to meet build programme.
• Direct and supervise workforce and subcontractors to achieve targets.
• Maintain site records including inductions, HSE, timesheets and quality checklists.

exciting opportunity to join the Persimmon Homes Construction Team as a Senior Site Manager reporting into the Contracts Manager.The purpose of the role is to manage the construction site according to company guidelines and goals, ensuring all aspects of the project are in conformity with proposed budgets, timelines and construction and quality standards.What you'll do as a Senior Site Manager:Manage a construction site, to ensure the development is completed on time, to specification and safety regulations, while complying with company and construction build and quality standardsEnsure all quality and safety inspections are within quality control standards and carried out in accordance with Group guidelinesFacilitate communication and coordinate activities with external third-parties, such as warranty provider, local authorities and utility companies to ensure achievement of the build programmeMaintain accurate records for the development including but not limited to, staff inductions, Health, Safety and Environment, timesheets, incident reports, quality control checklistsEnsure materials are called off in a timely manner and checked and stored in accordance with Group guidelinesDirect and supervise activity of the workforce, including all subcontractors,to ensure works are completed on time, to the desired quality standards and within budgetWork cohesively with other departments across the Operating Company such as Sales and Customer Care to ensure achievement of targets, for example prompt resolution of customer care issues and timely updates relating to plot progressEnsure compliance of the site workforce and all visitors with the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy to minimise incidents and accidentsThis role will involve travel across various sites in the region as well as occasional trips to other Group offices
