Job summary

Springcare is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (RGN) to oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of care homes in Northern & Central England. You’ll work with Home Managers, Deputies and staff to ensure high standards of care, compliance and team performance.

You’ll drive quality, safety and outcomes while managing budgets, occupancy and regulatory requirements. The role involves travel across sites and participation in on-call support as part of the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Nurse qualification (RGN) and active nursing registration.
• NVQ Level 5 in Management; Level 7 desirable.
• Proven operations management experience in care settings.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance.
• Experience in budgets and occupancy management.
• Willingness to travel and provide out-of-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Lead Home Managers and Deputies across multiple sites.
• Drive continuous compliance with CQC, local authorities and internal standards.
• Oversee service quality, resident safety and care outcomes.
• Monitor and improve performance through audits, KPIs and action planning.
• Represent Springcare in stakeholder meetings, including CQC and Local Authorities.
• Support homes through complaints management, unannounced visits and risk assessments.
• Provide reports, insights and strategic input to the Senior Management Team.
• Contribute to quality plans, policies and staff development initiatives.
