Job summary

Barrett Steel Limited, the UK’s leading steel stockholder, is hiring a Warehouse Operative at the BCD Tubes Scunthorpe site. You will handle order picking, stock movement and dispatch in a fast-paced environment, with shift patterns including 6am-2pm, 10pm-6am, and 2pm-10pm.

The role requires experience with overhead cranes, flexibility, and ideally forklift or side-loader operation, plus a strong health and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead cranes.
• Flexible attitude and results oriented.
• Forklift or side-loader experience preferred.
• Health and Safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Pick computer generated orders with heavy items.
• Record stock movement and usage with measurement equipment.
• Transfer stock to its location using a forklift.
• Assist in the dispatch of customer orders.
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
• Work as part of a team or on your own.
