Job summary

A multi-site agricultural manufacturer is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and involves conducting routine maintenance, recognizing faults, and supporting project work. Ideal candidates will be apprentice trained in engineering, experienced in FMCG environments, and must be willing to work a four on four days and nights shift pattern. Offering a competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Competency in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Experience working within a FMCG/Food manufacturing environment.
• Confident in conducting electrical audits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine, reactive and pre planned maintenance on production machinery.
• Recognise faults, organise and carry out necessary repairs.
• Support the Engineering Supervisor with project work.
• Maintain a clean, safe plant and comply with health and safety standards.
• Deliver continuous improvement strategy across the site.

Job description

A multi site agricultural manufacturer are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to working on rotating four on four days & nights shift pattern. Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on range of production equipment. You'll be confident Multi Skilled Engineer with ability of both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

Commutable from: Chesterfield, Lincoln, Mansfield, Worksop, Newark, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £ 35,000 to £ 40,000 p.a. plus pension, health care, free car parking, 20 days holidays

The Role

• Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for conducting routine, reactive and pre planned maintenance on production machinery.
• Recognising faults, organising and carrying out necessary repairs, ensuing that all faults are logged and reported.
• Support the Engineering Supervisor with project work.
• Maintaining a clean safe plant conduction and working to health & safety standards.
• Supporting and delivering continuous improvement strategy across the site.

The Person

• You’ll be Apprentice trained within mechanical or electrical engineering with competency in both. You will have experience and skills on SCADA systems and PLC's.
• Experience working within a FMCG/Food manufacturing environment.
• Confident in conducting electrical audits, with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Happy to work on a rotating four on four off shift pattern days & nights.
