Job summary

ESS in Exeter is seeking a delivery driver to provide first‑class service by delivering and collecting equipment to customers and other ESS sites. You will support the branch, build strong customer relationships through high quality handovers and answer equipment queries.

The role requires a Category B licence, multi‑drop experience, and good IT literacy. Training and development are offered, along with a range of employee benefits and discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have multi-drop delivery experience.
• Hold a Category B driving license with safe driving record.
• Clear and concise communication during handovers.
• Basic numeracy, IT and literacy skills for admin tasks.
• Familiarity with the local Exeter area to optimise routes.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with UK laws, prioritising safety.
• Interact with customers during deliveries and collections, addressing queries and ensuring a positive experience.
• Perform thorough cleaning and testing of returned equipment.
• Use the M42 system to streamline operations and track deliveries.
• Utilise route planning software to optimise routes, minimise travel time, and maximise efficiency.
• Accurately complete all necessary processes related to deliveries, collections, and handovers.
• Undertake mandatory training and other learning as required.
