Job summary

The Dash Group in Bodmin is hiring a Multi-drop Delivery Driver to join our Dash Express team. You will deliver and collect parcels across the local area with a focus on safe driving and excellent customer service at every stop.

We provide a modern fleet, fuel, uniform and full training. Benefits include a £250 joining bonus, 5.6 weeks holiday and ongoing development opportunities. This is a full-time position with start times from 7.00am.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence.
• The physical ability to manually lift and move (sometimes heavy) parcels.
• Previous driving experience.
• Good time keeping and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for customer service.
• All staff must pass a basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards, health & safety procedures and road safety laws.
• Load and offload parcels from vehicles, whilst sorting for efficient delivery.
• Accurately check and scan items out for delivery using a handheld terminal (HHT), reporting any discrepancies to your Line Manager.
• Complete pre-departure vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe to operate and report any problems to your Line Manager.
• Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day.
• At the end of day, you will return to depot, unload and label any of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT.
• Attend driver briefings and debriefings with the manager on duty.
• Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day.

Job Title - Multi-drop Delivery Driver

Location - Dash Express Bodmin, Carminow Cross, Bodmin, PL31 13P

Reports to - Operations Manager

Pay - £13.00 to £14.00 per hour plus a £250 joining bonus

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday. Start times from 7.00am

Purpose

Dash Express, a member of the UPS delivery network, is a leading logistics provider in the South-West, committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. In this Multi-drop Delivery Driver role, you'll deliver and collect parcel consignments safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service at every stop. Duties & Responsibilities
