Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Multi Drop Van Driver to support pharmaceutical deliveries in Exeter. You will ensure swift, accurate deliveries to pharmacies and hospitals, maintaining vehicle safety and reporting any issues. The role is full-time with a 48-hour week across Mon–Sat mornings, with a salary of £35,642.88.

The position emphasizes reliability, good communication, and adherence to safety and HazChem procedures while contributing to excellent customer service and branch operations.

Qualifications

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• We do not require a clean license; points on license may affect shortlist.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and competent driving, follow speed limits and road signs.
• Daily vehicle checks (lights, brakes, coolant) to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays promptly.
• Keep vehicle clean and roadworthy inside and out.
• Ensure sufficient fuel for the day's work.
• Safeguard vehicle and contents at all times.
• Check drop sheets and ensure orders are loaded.
• Collect goods returned for credit and return to branch as instructed.
• Handle damages/breakages per HazChems procedures.
• Maintain good customer relations.
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed by management.

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.

Essential

Skills Knowledge and Experience required:

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer care
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience
