Job summary

Cencora is hiring a Multi Drop Van Driver in Wetherby. You will deliver products to customers safely and on time, acting as a first point of contact and upholding high customer care standards.

The role includes driving, daily vehicle checks, and optional warehouse tasks, with full-time hours (38 per week, Monday to Friday). The position requires a full driving license, good communication, and solid numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and competent driving, observe speed limits and road signs.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report faults or delays.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure fuel is sufficient for the day.
• Ensure security of the vehicle and contents at all times.
• Check drop sheets, load orders and return goods as instructed.
• Assist with warehouse tasks as defined by Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Location: Wetherby

Hours per week: 38 hrs, Monday to Friday

Salary: £26,676

Job Summary

This role is a multi-drop delivery driver role and the person will be responsible for delivering company products to the customer in a safe and timely manner. You’ll be a representative of the company and be one of the first point of contacts for our customers, so a high standard of customer care must be maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To always maintain a smart appearance.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements

Essential Skills Knowledge and Experience required:

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist

• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience
