Job summary

Riverford is hiring a Delivery Driver in Manchester on a 3-month fixed term contract. You’ll join a busy, employee-owned team, delivering 70+ boxes daily with a 40-hour week. Start and finish times vary (4am–6am hub arrivals); mileage within a 30-minute commute is encouraged.

You’ll need a full UK driving licence, the ability to drive a 3.5-tonne van and strong customer service skills as you represent our organic veg box service to local customers.

Qualifications

• 3.5-tonne van and multi-drop experience with 70+ drops per day preferred.
• Good knowledge of the local Manchester area.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

This role is a 3-month fixed term contract, 40 hours per week - Working Monday to Friday which is inclusive of Bank Holidays. Start and finish times vary, we usually arrive at the hub between the hours of 4am to 6am and finish when all of the veg boxes have been delivered.

Location: To support a healthy work-life balance, we kindly ask that candidates live within a 30-minute commute of our Manchester Hub - Unit 16, Thames Trading Estate, Manchester, M44 6BP

Pay: £14.65 per hour, paid monthly

What you’ll be doing…

As a Delivery Driver at Riverford, you’re more than just a pair of hands on the wheel. You’re the friendly face of our veg box delivery service, bringing fresh, organic produce from field to doorstep. Each day, you’ll deliver 70 or more boxes, treating every one with care and helping us build strong relationships with our community of customers.

We’re looking for careful and responsible deliver drivers who know their way around a busy round and take pride in doing things well. It’s really beneficial if you have multi drop delivery experience, but we’re more interested in a calm head, a kind manner, and someone happy to muck in when it counts.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that cares about good food, good farming and doing things the right way. It’s a role with real purpose, helping deliver the best of the season to people’s doors.

What we’re looking for
