We’re looking for an experienced and approachable Driver Team Manager to lead our delivery team in Poole. This hands-on role is all about supporting our team to consistently deliver a reliable, high-quality service.
You’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the hub, typically spending your mornings offering guidance, building strong relationships, and making sure our drivers are ready to give customers the best possible experience. You’ll be based at our hub in Poole, with occasional travel to other locations across the business, this may sometimes include overnight stays.
Hours: This is a permanent position (40 hours per week), usually Monday to Friday (which is inclusive of bank holidays). Start and finish times will vary depending on team needs. Our drivers start as early as 4am, so you’ll need to be comfortable meeting them bright and early.

You’ll lead and inspire our delivery drivers as Riverford’s number one ambassadors, and the friendly face of our business for most customers. You’ll keep standards high and deliveries running smoothly by encouraging best practice, improving efficiency, and actively supporting your team’s development.
This is a hands-on role, with over half your time spent directly with your team: on the road with drivers, attending morning briefings, and holding one-to-one reviews. Your experience in multi-drop delivery will help you confidently role-model excellent driver behaviours and provide clear, practical guidance, making sure every delivery is safe, professional, and friendly.
