Job summary

Cencora is hiring a Multi Drop Delivery Driver in Cardiff. The role supports 48 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, delivering products and invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner.

Candidate must hold a full driving licence, be over 21 for insurance, and demonstrate strong customer service and safety awareness in a fast-paced transport environment. This is a full-time position within the Transport department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assembled product and invoices to customers accurately and on time.

• Ensure housekeeping and vehicle security at all times.

Multi Drop Delivery Driver

Department: Transport

Location: Cardiff Service Centre

Reports To: Driver Team Manager

Hours of work: 48 hours Per Week (Monday – Saturday)

Salary: £37,140.48 per annum

Job Purpose

To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

• To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.
• To ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Essential

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age
• Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer care
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
