Job summary

Alliance Healthcare Management Services Limited is seeking a Multi Drop Delivery Driver based at the Cardiff Service Centre. You will be responsible for timely, accurate deliveries of assembled products and invoices to customers, while maintaining safety and company guidelines.

The role requires a full driving license, over 21 for insurance, strong communication and route planning skills, and prior multi-drop delivery experience.

Qualifications

• A full driving license relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer care.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable.
• Route planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assembled products and invoices to customers efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a safe driving standard and observe traffic rules.
• Check vehicle roadworthiness and report faults or delays.
• Load orders and ensure correct items are loaded for each drop.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and fuel levels for daily work.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and follow HazChem procedures.

Job Details Multi Drop Delivery Driver

Department: Transport Location: Cardiff Service Centre Reports To: Driver Team Manager Hours of work: 48 hours Per Week (Monday – Saturday) Salary: £15:30 per hour

Job Purpose:

To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

• To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.
• To ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age.
• Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer care.
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy.
• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable.
• Route planning experience.

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
