Job summary

Cencora in Bristol is seeking a Multi Drop Delivery Driver to support Alliance Healthcare. You will be responsible for the speedy, accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to customers within corporate guidelines, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

The role operates at 48 hours per week (Mon-Sat) with a salary of £37,140.48 per annum. A full driving license, excellent communication, and strong customer care are essential to join the Transport team at the Bristol Service Centre.

Qualifications

• A full driving license relevant to the vehicle.
• For insurance, drivers must be over 21.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Intermediate numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving and obey traffic signs.
• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• Maintain the interior and exterior condition of the vehicle and its cleanliness.
• Ensure sufficient fuel for the day’s work.
• Maintain vehicle security at all times.
• Check dropsheets and load all orders onto the vehicle.
• Collect goods returned for credit and their safe return to the branch.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and promptly handle damages/breakages as required.
• Keep a smart appearance and uphold good customer relations.
• Be involved in other duties as defined by Management and meet Health & Safety requirements.

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.

Department: Transport

Location: Bristol Service Centre

Reports To: Driver Team Manager

Hours of work: 48 hours Per Week (Monday - Saturday)

Salary: £37,140.48 per annum

Job Purpose:

To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.

Key Accountabilities

• To maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, cheques or delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at all times.
• To ensure Housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age
• Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer care
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are "essential requirements" of this role.
