Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking a MACPT Nurse to join the Families First Programme. The role focuses on safeguarding, multi-agency collaboration and expert health input to complex cases. You will support risk assessments, policy development and service improvement within the MACPT.

The post offers a structured secondment to contribute to system-wide safeguarding practice and partnership working with health, education and police colleagues.

Qualifications

• Provide specialist safeguarding and child protection expertise within the MACPT.
• Lead high-quality risk assessments for safeguarding cases.
• Develop and implement safeguarding policies and best practice guidance.
• Deliver safeguarding training, supervision and professional advice to partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist safeguarding and child protection expertise within the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT).
• Work with health, social care, education, police and partners to support children and families with complex safeguarding needs.
• Lead and contribute to high-quality risk assessments to improve safeguarding outcomes.
• Develop safeguarding policies, procedures and best practice aligned with guidance.
• Deliver safeguarding training and provide professional advice to colleagues and partners.
• Analyse safeguarding data, undertake audits and support quality improvement.
