Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWB) is seeking a Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) Nurse to provide expert safeguarding health input and support high-quality risk assessments within a 2-year secondment. You will collaborate with health, social care, education and police partners to safeguard vulnerable children and families.

The role emphasizes leading safeguarding practice, developing policies, and delivering training within the Families First Programme across Sandwell.

Mansioni

• Provide specialist safeguarding and child protection expertise within the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT).
• Work collaboratively with health, social care, education, police and other partners to support children and families with complex safeguarding needs.
• Lead and contribute to high-quality risk assessments, ensuring a holistic approach to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children.
• Develop and implement safeguarding policies, procedures and best practice in line with local and national guidance.
• Deliver safeguarding training, supervision and professional advice to colleagues and partner agencies.
• Analyse safeguarding data, undertake audits and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous service development.
• Prepare and present reports to safeguarding groups, governance meetings and partnership boards.
• Build and maintain effective strategic partnerships to strengthen multi-agency working and influence service development.
• Promote a culture of learning, innovation and continuous improvement through research, audits and learning from safeguarding reviews.
• Act as a visible professional leader and role model, supporting staff development and ensuring high standards of safeguarding practice.
