Job summary

iboss is expanding its EMEA managed security partner channel, seeking a Sales Engineer to serve MSPs and MSSPs as the technical face of the program. You will design, demonstrate, and support iboss within partner environments and help partners scale their managed services.

In this role you will train partner technical teams, run proof-of-concepts, and collaborate with the EMEA Senior MSSP Sales Manager to drive adoption across the UK&I and beyond.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years' experience in technical pre-sales, network security engineering, or MSP/MSSP-side technical delivery.
  • Working knowledge of network security fundamentals: firewalls, secure web gateway, intrusion prevention, content filtering.
  • Experience designing or supporting multi-tenant or multi-client network/security environments (MSP, MSSP, or equivalent wholesale/reseller model).
  • Demonstrated experience training, enabling, or supporting third-party technical teams — partners, resellers, or channel — not only end users.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, comfortable presenting to technical audiences not iboss employees.
  • Able to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, as part of a small, early-stage channel team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pre-sales expertise for MSP/MSSP partners, working with the EMEA Senior MSSP Sales Manager and partner teams.
  • Design and demonstrate multi-tenant, wholesale-licensed network architectures for a partner's client base.
  • Run proof-of-concepts and technical validations configured for a partner's environment, including onboarding and provisioning walkthroughs.
  • Train and enable partner technical, NOC, and SOC staff on the iboss platform and multi-tenant console.
  • Support partners' technical integration questions — RMM/PSA tooling, SIEM, ticketing systems, and network stack.
  • Build partner-facing enablement materials: FAQs, diagrams, onboarding guides, and training content.
  • Represent iboss technically at partner events, trade shows, and training sessions.
  • Create and maintain internal and external technical documentation.

Job description

iboss is a cloud security company processing over 150 billion transactions daily and blocking 4 billion threats per day. The company serves more than 4,000 global enterprises, including many Fortune 50 companies, delivering security capabilities including SWG, malware defense, CASB, and data loss prevention through a cloud-native architecture. iboss also runs an MSP partner program, enabling managed service providers to package iboss's platform into their own branded managed security offering under wholesale, pooled licensing.

Role Summary

iboss is building its EMEA managed security partner channel — working with MSPs and MSSPs who resell the iboss platform under their own brand. This role is the first dedicated technical resource for that channel: a Sales Engineer whose primary audience is partner technical teams, not end customers directly. You'll help partners design, demonstrate, and support iboss within their own managed service, and act as the technical face of the MSP program alongside the EMEA Senior MSSP Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical pre-sales expertise for MSP/MSSP partners, working alongside the EMEA Senior MSSP Sales Manager and named partner account teams.
  • Design and demonstrate multi-tenant, wholesale-licensed network architectures suited to a partner's own client base — not single-tenant enterprise deployments.
  • Run proof-of-concepts and technical validations configured for a partner's environment, including onboarding and provisioning walkthroughs.
  • Train and enable partner technical, NOC, and SOC staff on the iboss platform and multi-tenant console, so partners can support their own end customers directly.
  • Support partners' technical integration questions — RMM/PSA tooling, SIEM, ticketing systems, and existing network stack.
  • Build partner-facing enablement materials: technical FAQs, architecture reference diagrams, onboarding guides, and training/certification content, distinct from end-customer collateral.
  • Represent iboss technically at partner-facing events, trade shows, and partner training sessions.
  • Create and maintain internal and external technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years' experience in technical pre-sales, network security engineering, or MSP/MSSP-side technical delivery.
  • Working knowledge of network security fundamentals: firewalls, secure web gateway, intrusion prevention, content filtering.
  • Experience designing or supporting multi-tenant or multi-client network/security environments (MSP, MSSP, or an equivalent wholesale/reseller model)
  • Demonstrated experience training, enabling, or supporting third-party technical teams — partners, resellers, or channel — not only end users.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, comfortable presenting to technical audiences who are not iboss employees.
  • Able to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, as part of a small, early-stage channel team.
  • BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working at, or closely with, an MSP or MSSP.
  • Familiarity with SASE/SSE, cloud security platforms, or secure web gateway technologies specifically.
  • Understanding of MSP commercial models: wholesale/pooled licensing, margin structures, co-selling.
  • An additional European language, given the role's expected path toward DACH, Nordics, and Benelux partners.
  • Experience with virtualization/VDI, packet capture analysis, or enterprise mobile device management is a plus, not a requirement.
EMEA Scope & Travel
  • Initial focus: UK & Ireland MSP/MSSP partners.
  • Expected to extend to DACH, Nordics, and Benelux as the partner program matures — some travel to partner sites and events across these regions should be expected.
  • Location; hybrid/flexible working supported.
  • Healthcare plan and pension.
  • A genuine opportunity to help build a new EMEA channel motion from the ground up, working directly alongside the EMEA Senior MSSP Sales Manager.
