Job summary

Matchtech Mobility seeks a skilled MRO Senior Technician (Global Deployment) to maintain and support Windracers UAVs, ensuring top operational standards. The role includes a demanding 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rota, with deployment across diverse environments, including potential austere and conflict zones.

You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate with engineering teams, and stay compliant with aviation regulations while travel may be required globally.

Qualifications

• Experienced vehicle technician in air, automotive, marine or rail environments.
• Proficient in mechanical or electrical/electronic fault diagnosis.
• Supervisory experience in trade groups.
• Ability to read and provide feedback on engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned fleet modifications and ensure successful implementation.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose, plan and complete unscheduled maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering/R&D on post-manufacture modifications.
• Conduct ground testing for QA and fault diagnosis.
• Rectify faults found during ground testing and document results.
• Support ground handling, refuelling and flight operations.
• Ensure compliance with airspace regulations and safety protocols.
• Document issues and report data for traceability.
• Stay updated on aviation regulations and permits.

Our client, operating in the aerospace sector, is urgently seeking a dedicated MRO Senior Technician (Global Deployment) to join their dynamic team. This permanent role involves maintaining and supporting Windracers UAV, ensuring they are of the highest operational standard. With a 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rota, you will need to be adaptable and ready to work in diverse, challenging environments, including conflict zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Embodiment of planned fleet modifications
• Completion of scheduled maintenance
• Diagnosing, planning, and completing unscheduled maintenance and repair
• Collaborating with engineering/R&D on post manufacture product development modifications
• Conducting ground testing for quality assurance and fault diagnosis
• Rectifying faults found during ground testing
• Supporting ground handling, refuelling, and flying operations
• Ensuring compliance with airspace regulations and safety protocols
• Documenting and reporting issues, gathering necessary data
• Staying informed about aviation regulations and obtaining necessary permits
• Coordinating with ground crews, project managers, and team members
• Recording flight, maintenance, modification, and incident activities accurately
• Participating in training programmes to stay updated on UAV technology and best practices
• Carrying out general duties to accomplish the company's goals

Qualifications & Experience

• Experienced vehicle technician (air, automotive, marine, or rail)

• Experience with Microsoft Office

Qualification Requirements

• Clean driving licence (C1, D1, D1E)
