Job summary

Colliers UK is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to own commercial delivery for a prestigious occupier account. You will lead cost management across workplace, fit-out, refurbishment and capital projects, driving budgets, forecasts, procurement strategies and value engineering with strong governance and client liaison.

The role requires MRICS, a QS degree, consultancy experience in real estate or construction, and excellent stakeholder communication. Right to work in the UK preferred.

Qualifications

• :MRICS qualified and senior industry professional.
• :Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• :Experience in consultancy within real estate/construction.
• :Strong track record delivering occupier/commercial office projects.
• :Expertise in cost planning, procurement, contract administration.
• :Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• :Experience in a multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.
• :Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management.
• :Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management across a portfolio of workplace, fit-out, refurbishment, and capital projects.
• Develop and manage budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to client teams.
• Prepare feasibility estimates and procurement strategies.
• Manage tender processes and contractor evaluations.
• Oversee contract administration under JCT/NEC forms.
• Review valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Ensure robust governance and financial reporting.
• Identify risks/opportunities and mitigation strategies.
• Drive value engineering while preserving quality and programme.
• Produce monthly cost reports and updates.
• Build strong relationships with client reps, consultants and contractors.
• Support business growth within the account and Occupier Services team.
• Mentor junior Cost Management professionals.
