Job summary

Ips Group is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join its claims and risk management division in a home-based role across the United Kingdom. You will assess damage, provide technical expertise, and support the claims process from surveys to settlements.

The role requires MRICS or equivalent status, strong surveying knowledge, and the ability to travel to claim sites. A comprehensive benefits package and progression opportunities are offered within a growing surveying services

Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor with MRICS or equivalent status.
• Strong knowledge of building surveying, construction methods and property damage.
• Experience surveying domestic and commercial properties.
• Knowledge of insurance claims and policy coverage.
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple claims.
• Willingness to travel to claim sites with UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property surveys, inspections and investigations to assess damage and scope of works.
• Prepare detailed reports, repair recommendations and budget replacement costs.
• Produce schedules of works, tender documentation and tender analysis.
• Manage pre and post-contract administration.
• Work with loss adjusters, insurers and other stakeholders.
• Investigate causes and circumstances of property damage.
• Review policies and coverage to ensure claims align with terms.
• Provide technical guidance to policyholders and stakeholders.
• Maintain records and support legal proceedings when required.
