Job summary

Procter Street is seeking an ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor to take ownership of projects and contribute to the growth of the Building Surveying service within a growing consultancy. You will work with Directors and the team to deliver a varied portfolio across commercial property and construction sectors.

You will manage client relationships, provide professional advice, and develop technical expertise while contributing to business development and collaborative working with surveying,

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor status with commercial surveying experience.
• Strong technical capability across dilapidations, contract administration, schedules of condition, pre-acquisition surveys and building condition surveys.
• Experience managing your own projects and instructions, with ability to work independently when needed.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to communicate with clients, contractors and advisers.
• Excellent report writing and technical communication with high attention to detail.
• Commercially aware with proactive approach to business development and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a varied portfolio of Building Surveying instructions from inception to completion.
• Undertake technical surveying across dilapidations, contract administration, schedules of condition and pre-acquisition surveys.
• Manage client relationships, provide professional advice and build long-term relationships.
• Prepare reports, specifications and schedules to high professional and technical standards.
• Oversee contract administration and project-related instructions with clients, contractors and advisers.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities within existing relationships and contributing to new business.
