Job summary

Western Health & Social Care Trust in Londonderry is seeking a Specialist Radiographer MRI (Rotational) to join the Radiology team at Altnagelvin Hospital. The role operates within an extended 7-day MRI service and requires participation in rotas and on-call as needed.

You will perform MRI and plain film radiography, manage QA, contribute to training, and uphold professional standards; extensive MRI training will be provided. A driving licence and HCPC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified radiographer with HCPC registration and BSc/ Diploma.
• Experience in diagnostic radiography with MRI exposure.
• Willing to complete MRI PGC within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Undertake MRI and plain film radiography as part of a 7-day service.
• Maintain high standards of QA and safety in MRI practice.
• Support team lead in MRI and ensure efficient throughput.
• Participate in rotas and on-call requirements.
• Attend training and Continual Professional Development activities.

Education

BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers, London (or equivalent)

HCPC Registration

2+ years post-graduate experience in diagnostic radiography

MRI training / qualification (PGC in MRI within 2 years)

Full UK driving licence
