Job summary

HCRG Staffing is seeking an MRI Radiographer to deliver high-quality MRI imaging across clinical specialties. You will work with radiologists and clinicians to ensure precise, patient-centred care in a supportive team environment.

Your role focuses on image acquisition, patient safety, and ongoing equipment quality control, while keeping records up to date and staying current with MRI techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Typically 6 months or more of experience working as an MRI Radiographer within a clinical or hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing MRI examinations to a high clinical standard
• Preparing patients for scans, including screening for contraindications and administering contrast agents safely where required
• Positioning patients accurately to obtain optimal quality images
• Monitoring patient comfort and safety during and after examinations
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of examinations performed
• Ensuring correct use, calibration, and quality control of imaging equipment
• Providing support and reassurance to patients before, during and after examinations
• Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Participating in quality assurance and MRI safety procedures
• Assisting in the education and training of junior staff and students
• Keeping up to date with advancements in MRI techniques and equipment
