Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Radiology Department Assistant to support the CT and MRI service across the hospital sites, including the CDC. The role requires flexible working to cover a 7-day service with 12.5 hour shifts and a patient-focused approach in a busy imaging department.

You will prepare and position patients for CT/MRI exams, assist radiographers, and help ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work across 7-day service and 12.5 hour shifts.
• Willingness to learn MRI safety and interventional procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with MRI patient preparation and positioning.
• Support MRI safety and adherence to MRI Local Rules.
• Chaperone patients to and from the MR environment and assist during scans.
• Assist with interventional procedures and biopsies as required.
