Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Radiology Department Assistant to rotate across the NNUH, CDC, and Cromer District Hospital. The role covers 7.5 and 12.5 hour shifts, including nights and Bank Holidays, across three sites with a flexible working pattern.

The post emphasises patient-focused care, good communication, and a willingness to learn, supporting imaging preps, patient positioning, and interventional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Good level of numeracy and literacy.
• Evidence of basic computer skills.
• Be prepared to undertake further training to demonstrate knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of Imaging including preparing patients for examinations and helping to position patients.
• Assist with interventional procedures and knowledge of basic anatomy and medical terminology.
• Provide patient-focused care with clear communication and empathy.
