Job summary

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an MRI assistant to join our MRI team. The role involves rotation across all Radiology departments at South Tees NHS Hospital sites, including James Cook University Hospital, Friarage Hospital, Redcar Primary Care Centre, and the Stockton Hub.

Shifts run 8am-8pm and 9-5, 7 days per week, with 365-day coverage. The post is part of the Community Diagnostic Hub initiative.

Qualifications

• Level 1 in Maths and English.
• NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare Care or equivalent experience.
• Ability to demonstrate person centred care.
• IT skills.
• Able to describe behaviours and skills of a carer.
• Previous experience of working as part of a team.
• Previous Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients prior to their scans and assist them throughout their time in the department.
• Maintain an efficient daily worklist by dealing with patient queries, appointments and assisting Radiographers.
• Support the MRI rota and contribute to safe, high quality imaging services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an MRI assistant to join our friendly MRI team, with a requirement for rotation between all Radiology departments at South Tees NHS Hospital sites including James Cook University Hospital, Friarage hospital in Northallerton, Redcar Primary Care Centre and the new Hub in Stockton. The role will incorporate a 7-day working week with shifts covering 8am-8pm and 9-5pm. Cover is required 365 days per year. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team where our purpose is to deliver seamless, high quality, safe healthcare for all. This post is part of the collaborative initiative of the Community Diagnostic Hub program. Although the successful candidate will be employed by South Tees Foundation Trust (STHFT), there may be an expectation of collaborative working across the Tees Valley in the future should the need be required, however this role is primarily for STHFT MRI services, and the successful candidate will join the MRI rota for STHFT. Successful candidates will be an employee of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and managed as per the governance arrangements currently in place for Radiology and the organisation'.
