Job summary

GardPass Consulting LTD seeks an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage Windows server infrastructure, VMware vCenter, and AD/DNS/DHCP in a small team at Yeovilton, UK. You will work under senior IT staff to maintain servers, network devices, and security controls.

The role requires hands-on support across multiple IT systems, including backup with VEEAM, SharePoint/SQL patches, VPN/VDI tasks, and upcoming EPO/Trellix security activities. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with Windows server administration and networking.
• Extensive Windows Server Administration experience.
• Experience with VMware vCenter/ESXi, AD, DNS, and DHCP.
• Strong IT Service Desk support experience.
• Ability to work across multiple IT systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple VMware vCenter & ESXi servers.
• Manage Windows Servers, AD, DNS, DHCP.
• Basic maintenance of switches and firewalls.
• Maintain Infodas SGWX diode and GPS Time Server.
• Install and maintain server and client applications; patching of SharePoint and SQL Server.

Location: Yeovilton, United Kingdom (onsite)

Requirements Description:

The site is small and you will work with 4 other IT staff. Under the direction of CSE Yeovilton Head the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:

• Manage multiple VMware vCenter & ESXi servers
• Manage Windows Servers, AD, DNS, DHCP
• Basic maintenance of Switches and Firewalls
• Maintain Infodas SGWX diode
• Maintain GPS Time Server
• Install and maintain multiple server and client software applications
• Maintain Bespoke Server application TEPA and its database
• Maintain SofttrosLanManager messaging and Renewing certificates
• Managing VIASAT encrypted drives
• Loading Keymat to TCE621M devices
• Escorting and assisting 3rd level engineers
• Assist with testing and verification of new systems
• Assist with VEEAM Backup
• Supporting local ServiceDesk
• Maintaining documentation on assigned systems
• Support to VDI maintenance, and thin clients
• Print server support.
• Assist with EPO DLP
• Install Sharepoint and SQL server patches.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Vocational training at middle level in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, or Diploma of secondary education in IT System Administration with 5 years of experience.
• Extensive Windows Server Administration experience
• Intermediate Network maintenance and configuration experience
• Advanced Workstation System Administration experience
• Significant IT Service Desk Support experience
• Experience working on multiple IT systems simultaneously in a fast moving dynamic environment, while being able to react quickly to user needs.

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of NATO IT Security Policies, Directives & Guidance
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization.
