Job Description

This role is categorized as hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to report to Concord, NC three times per week. Due to support for live race events during weekends, a flexible schedule is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Apply data science and modeling techniques to develop race strategy tools for pre-race planning and live decision-making.
• Refine existing AI/ML models and develop new simulation platforms.
• Create tire degradation models and develop visualization tools for insights.
• Verify and enhance race strategy tools in collaboration with motorsports teams.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and support race strategy software.
• Transfer learning techniques across different racing series.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in top-level motorsports, including experience with strategy tools during live events.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages.
• Knowledge of AI/ML modeling techniques.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience in tire modeling and simulation workflows.
• Knowledge of machine learning libraries and big data tools.
