Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, requiring reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

We seek a highly skilled Senior Data Processing Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be to develop complex data pipelines and processing systems to enhance our aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will be integral to designing, developing, and optimizing solutions to address technical challenges, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with data engineers and teams to integrate data from various platforms (on-prem and cloud databases, data lakes, APIs, third-party vendors).
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality through automated validation and monitoring.
• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in data workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
• Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
• Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
• Knowledge of distributed systems management (SLURM, LSF).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience in motorsports industry.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security practices.
• Experience with HPC architecture, instrumentation, and Data Acquisition systems.
