Job Description

GM Motorsports supports racing in multiple series including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CAD Engineer for our elite team. In this role, you will design and develop racecar components and systems from initial concept to production, using your expertise in CAD software and finite-element analysis. You will participate in design reviews and provide support post-delivery to end-users or customers.

Responsibilities

1. Design parts and systems using Catia and analyze them for performance and durability.
2. Collaborate with race program teams and share knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
3. Participate in design reviews and support the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing automotive, motorsports, or aerospace parts.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Catia or 3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus).
• Strong understanding of materials, part design, and rapid prototyping.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Passion for motorsports and vehicle dynamics knowledge.
