Job Description:

This role is categorized as onsite, with the expectation that the successful candidate will report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role: GM Motorsports supports racing in NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We seek a highly motivated CAD Engineer to design and develop racecar components, from initial concept to production. Responsibilities include designing parts, optimizing with finite-element analysis, participating in design reviews, and providing support post-delivery.

What You'll Do:

• Use Catia for parts design and apply analytical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with race program teams with a client-oriented focus.
• Share knowledge and learn in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3+ years designing automotive, motorsports, or aerospace parts.
• Proficiency in CAD (CATIA or 3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus).
• Knowledge of part design, materials, and rapid prototyping.
• Solid and surface modeling skills.
• Innovative mindset and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Passion for motorsports and understanding of vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics.

This position may be eligible for relocation benefits.

• Master's degree in relevant fields.
