Job Description

This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

GM Motorsports supports racing in multiple series including NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. We seek a highly motivated CAD Engineer to design and develop racecar components, from concept to production, using CATIA and FEA tools. Responsibilities include designing parts, optimizing with analysis, participating in design reviews, and supporting end users post-delivery.

What You'll Do

1. Utilize CATIA for parts design and analysis.
2. Collaborate with race program teams with a client-focused approach.
3. Share knowledge and innovate in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in automotive, motorsports, or aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in CAD (CATIA/3DX) and FEA (HyperMesh, Abaqus).
• Knowledge of materials, rapid prototyping, and modeling techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Passion for motorsports and understanding of vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related fields.
