Job description

Job Description

This onsite role is based in Concord, NC, and involves designing and developing racecar components for GM Motorsports, supporting racing series such as NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and Formula 1. The CAD Engineer will work on parts and systems from concept to production, using finite-element analysis and participating in design reviews, with occasional support post-delivery.

Responsibilities
  1. Design parts using Catia and analytical tools.
  2. Collaborate with race program teams with a client-focused approach.
  3. Share knowledge and learn in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related.
  • 3+ years in automotive, motorsports, aerospace design.
  • Proficiency in CAD (CATIA/3DX) and FEA tools (HyperMesh, Abaqus).
  • Knowledge of materials, rapid prototyping, and modeling.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Passion for motorsports and vehicle dynamics.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
