Job summary

Catapult Sports in London is seeking a talented Software Engineer (Motorsport) to grow our RaceWatch software for elite motorsport series from our London office, with a focus on one or two racing series.

You will lead development, work with product managers and customers to design features, and contribute to a fast-paced, high-quality software platform that handles complex data and supports live events.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or another technical subject.
• 2+ years in a fast-paced technical environment delivering software.
• Proven track record of building applications in C/C++, or another OO language.
• Experience developing products, scaling them, and supporting them throughout the lifecycle.
• Aptitude for working with complex data.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff and customers.
• Willingness to go above and beyond for the customer.
• Ability to cover live motorsport events at weekends on a rotational basis.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of RaceWatch software for one or more motorsport series.
• Work with product managers and customers to design features and prioritise tasks.
• Identify ways to add innovative new features to the software.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Contribute to code quality, organization, and best practices throughout the development process.
• Maintain and enhance software reliability.
