Job summary

Askham Bryan College in York is seeking a Progress Tutor (Motorsport) to support students in the Motorsport department. The role involves delivering tutorial sessions on employability, personal development and life skills, and guiding students through their progress reviews.

You will monitor progress, identify barriers, and provide targeted support, while collaborating with curriculum teams and liaising with parents to ensure students stay engaged and progress toward their next steps.

Qualifications

• Deliver tutorial framework group sessions covering employability, personal development and essential life skills.
• Monitor achievement and progress through Progress Review meetings, identify barriers to learning and provide targeted support.
• Work with curriculum teams and liaise with parents/carers to ensure students are engaged and progressing.
• Be enthusiastic, student-focused and a strong team player with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the college's tutorial framework sessions for the Motorsport cohort.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to help students reach their goals.
• Collaborate with curriculum areas, Student Services and Work Placement Teams to support student development.
