Job summary

M-Sport UK, based at Dovenby Hall, is seeking an experienced HGV Driver & Event Operative to join the Operations team. The role combines professional HGV driving with hands-on support for motorsport events across the UK and beyond.

The successful candidate will assist with loading, transport, event setup and ongoing equipment checks, ensuring smooth logistics and operations for high-profile motorsport programmes.

Qualifications

• HGV Licence: Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Driving Experience: Previous professional HGV driving experience and vehicle safety knowledge.
• Practical Skills: Hands-on readiness for event and operational tasks.
• Safety: Strong awareness of health and safety in HGV operation and handling.
• Teamwork: Capable of working effectively within a busy event operations team.
• Organisation: Excellent organisation to manage equipment, vehicles and priorities.
• Communication: Good verbal communication across the business.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends and away from home as required.
• Travel: Able to travel regularly in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV vehicles safely to transport competition cars, equipment and parts.
• Support transport of vehicles and equipment to events, tests and activities.
• Assist with setup, operation and dismantling of event facilities and infrastructure.
• Help with loading, securing and unloading of equipment.
• Carry out checks on HGVs, trailers and event vehicles and report defects.
• Assist with construction of service parks, hospitality areas and workshops.
• Move, organise and inventory equipment and materials during events.
• Complete vehicle, journey and event documentation.
