Job summary

Prodrive in the United Kingdom is seeking a Composite Design Engineer to craft high‑performance composite components for aero, body and chassis systems. You will partner with analysts to optimise structures and deliver concept designs through to manufacture, ensuring design integrity and cost targets.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/automotive degree and have motorsport experience with strong CAD skills, especially Siemens NX.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or closely related field.
• Experience designing composite components for high‑performance applications.
• Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design composite components for aero, body and chassis systems.
• Collaborate with analysts to optimise composite structures.
• Create concept designs and detailed CAD solutions on time and budget.
• Deliver CAD assemblies and release BOMs accurately.
• Maintain current BOM data and consider manufacturing costs.
• Support design reviews and supplier liaison to ensure manufacturability.
