Job summary

Prodrive is seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to join our Engineering Vehicle Design group. You will provide composite design expertise from concept through to manufacture and track deployment on high-performance motorsport programmes.

Responsibilities include designing composite components, collaborating with analysts, delivering CAD assemblies, and maintaining BOMs while considering cost and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years in high-performance motorsport design environment.
• Proven composite design experience across aero, bodywork and chassis.
• Solid understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to translate concepts to manufacturable designs and BOMs.
• Excellent CAD skills; Siemens NX and Teamcenter advantageous.
• A passion for motorsport and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design composite components across aerodynamic, body and chassis systems.
• Collaborate with analysts to optimize composite solutions.
• Create concept designs and detailed engineering solutions meeting targets.
• Deliver CAD assemblies and designs to timelines and budgets.
• Release parts to Bills of Materials and maintain BOMs.
• Assess commercial impact of design decisions on costs.
• Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability.
