Job summary

Prodrive in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Vehicle Design group. You will design and develop high‑performance vehicle structures, from concept through to manufacture and track deployment, focusing on chassis, suspension, steering and braking components.

The role requires a degree in mechanical or automotive engineering and hands-on experience in motorsport environments, with strong CAD skills (Siemens NX) and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a high-performance motorsport design environment.

Responsibilities

• Design structural components across chassis, suspension, steering and braking systems.
• Develop and optimise mechanical systems with analysts.
• Produce concept designs and detailed engineering solutions meeting targets for performance, weight and cost.
• Deliver CAD assemblies and detailed designs to timelines and budgets.
• Release parts and BOMs, maintaining accurate records throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure manufacturability and cost considerations in design decisions.
• Support design reviews and continuous improvement activities across programmes.
