Job summary

McLaren Racing Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled CNC programmer to join a fast-paced, high-precision workshop. You will develop CNC programs, set up and operate multi-axis machines to produce complex aerospace/motorsport components, and contribute to building a world-class race car.

You will collaborate with engineers to optimize toolpaths, maintain records, inspect parts, and uphold safety standards in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent completed.
• Experience machining small batch precision components in motorsport or aerospace environments.
• Proficient in programming with Edgecam or OPENMIND CAM.
• Experience with virtual machines or simulation tools.
• Extensive experience with Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or Fanuc control systems.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs and machine components from drawings and CAD files.
• Maintain accurate program and tooling records.
• Support leadership and engineers to optimize machine tool efficiency.
• Inspect parts to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Contribute to health and safety compliance in the workshop.
