Job summary

McLaren Racing is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to program, set up and operate multi-axis machines for precision components used in race cars. You will program from drawings and CAD files, create efficient tooling records, and help optimize machine tool performance in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Ideal candidates have Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent, strong experience in motorsport or aerospace, and proficiency with Edgecam or OPENMIND CAM, as well as Mazatrol/Heidenhain/Fanuc

Qualifications

• Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent required.
• Experience machining small batch precision components in motorsport/aerospace environments.
• Proficient in programming using Edgecam or OPENMIND CAM software.
• Experience with virtual machine or simulation tools.
• Extensive experience with Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or Fanuc control systems.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs and machine components using supplied drawings and CAD files.
• Maintain accurate program and tooling records.
• Support leadership and engineers to optimize machine tool efficiency.
• Inspect parts to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Contribute to health and safety compliance in the workshop.
