Job summary

Aston Martin Formula One Team in Silverstone is seeking a motivated Assembly Technician to join the Build & Car Assembly team. You will build, service and maintain high‑performance components and pit stop equipment, ensuring assemblies meet exact specifications for race readiness.

You will work with Race Team, T&D, Production and Quality departments, contribute to initial builds, development, testing programmes and race event preparation, and maintain build records while upholding strict safety

Qualifications

• Experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and engineering.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and build guides.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, service and maintain AMRF1 sub-assemblies to specification.
• Develop and maintain pit stop equipment and tooling.
• Keep accurate build/service records with full traceability.
• Identify faults and document care points to improve reliability.
• Assist in building manuals and guides; service rigs and test equipment.
• Support component development, testing, and initial car builds.
• Provide end-to-end technical support to the Race Team.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality and race operations.
• Assist with training of new team members.
