As a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the MOT testing, service, repair, and maintenance work for our customers’ vehicles, preparing them for the road ahead.

Representing a variety of manufacturers and working on a diverse range of vehicles and models, you will take pride in your work, taking ownership of your customers' vehicles and completing jobs to the highest standard.

An average day as a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician:

  • Reporting to the Service Manager, responsible for meeting franchise and company standards in a service environment.
  • Performing maintenance, service, and repair activities on various motor vehicles.
  • Working efficiently within scheduled times to meet standards.
  • Repairing vehicles, testing, and diagnosing faults.
  • Replacing components, parts, lubricants, and consumables, maintaining records, and providing quality reports for customers and manufacturers.
  • Keeping your work area clean, tidy, and safe according to health and safety standards.
  • Advising on vehicle faults and servicing requirements, including future needs via Vehicle Health Check and Video processes.

About you:

  • Experience in the automotive sector within a technical role from all backgrounds is welcome.
  • Qualified to Level 2 NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, with an MOT Testers Licence.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with strong technical skills to overcome challenges.
  • An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Passion for what you do—confidence will follow.
